That is: And what Allah renews for them through His revelation is a reminder and admonition, except they renew their turning away from it and disbelief in it. If you say: How is there a difference between the words while the aim is one, which is turning away, denial, and mockery? I say: The difference between them is due to the variation in the aims, as if it were said: When they turned away from the reminder, they denied it, and when they denied it, its value diminished in their eyes and it became a target for mockery and ridicule. For indeed, whoever is receptive to the truth and turns towards it, will certainly believe in it and will not be thought to deny it. And whoever believes in it will honor it. So a warning will come to them, and they will be informed that they will know, when the punishment of Allah strikes them on the Day of Badr or the Day of Judgment, what is that which they were mocking, which is the Qur'an, and its news and conditions that were hidden from them will come to them.
