He emphasized to them the blessings of Allah, where he summarized them and then detailed them, citing their knowledge. This is because he awakened them from a state of negligence regarding it when he said, 'He has provided you with what you know.' Then he enumerated them for them and made them aware of the Bestower by enumerating what they know of His blessings. Just as He is able to bestow this blessing upon you, He is also capable of reward and punishment, so fear Him.

And similar is His saying, 'And Allah warns you against Himself, and Allah is Kind to the servants.' If you say: How did he associate sons with livestock? I say: They are those who assist them in preserving it and taking care of it.
