Commentary
Then he divided the matter regarding their turning away from his governance. This is when the truth is clear against them, whether they are the sick-hearted hypocrites, or those who are in doubt about his prophethood, or those who fear injustice in his judgment. Then he invalidated their fear of injustice by saying, 'Rather, they are the wrongdoers.' This means they do not fear that he will be unjust to them, due to their knowledge of his condition. Rather, they are wrongdoers who want to wrong those who have a right over them and complete their denial. This is something they cannot achieve in the assembly of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him. Therefore, they refuse to be judged by him.
