Similar to His saying, "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth," along with His saying, "The example of His Light," and "Allah guides to His Light." Your saying: "Zayd is generous and bountiful," then you say: "He revives people with his generosity and bounty." The meaning is: the One with the Light of the heavens, and the Owner of the Light of the heavens. The Light of the heavens and the earth is the truth. It is likened to light in its appearance and clarity, as His saying: "Allah is the Protector of those who believe; He brings them out of darkness into light," meaning from falsehood to truth. And the light is attributed to the heavens and the earth for one of two meanings: either to indicate the vastness of its radiance and the spread of its illumination, such that the heavens and the earth are illuminated by it. Or it is meant that the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth are illuminated by it. The example of His Light refers to the remarkable quality of His light in illumination, like a niche. The description of a niche is that it is an opening in the wall that does not have a lamp in it, but there is a lamp, a large, bright lamp in a glass. It is intended to be a lamp of Levantine glass, which is bright. It is likened in its brightness to one of the stars among the famous ones, like Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Suhail, and the like. This lamp is fueled from a tree, meaning it is derived from an olive tree, indicating that its wick is gathered by its oil, which is blessed and has many benefits. Or it is because it grows in the land that has been blessed for the worlds. It is said that seventy prophets were blessed there, among them Ibrahim, peace be upon him. And from the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him: "Take this tree, the olive tree, and use its oil for healing, for it is a remedy for hemorrhoids." It is neither eastern nor western, meaning its origin is in the Levant. The best olives are from the Levant. It is said that it is neither in a place that is shaded nor in a place that is exposed, but the sun and shade alternate over it, which is better for its yield and purer for its oil. The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, said: "There is no good in a tree in a shaded place, nor in a plant in a shaded place, nor is there any good in them in an exposed place." It is said that it is not something that is only exposed to the sun at sunrise or sunset, but it receives sunlight in the morning and evening, so it is both eastern and western. Then the oil is described as clear and bright, and because of its brilliance, it almost gives light without fire. Light upon light. This which you likened to the truth is a multiplied light, wherein the niche, the glass, the lamp, and the oil support each other, until nothing remains that strengthens the light and increases its brightness and extends it with illumination. This is because when the lamp is in a narrow place like the niche, it is brighter and more concentrated in its light, unlike in a wide space where the light spreads out. The lamp is the most helpful thing for increasing illumination, and likewise, the oil and its clarity. Allah guides to this brilliant light whom He wills of His servants, meaning He grants success to perceive the truth through reflection and contemplation with the eye of reason and fairness from oneself, and does not stray from the straight path leading to it, neither to the right nor to the left. And whoever does not reflect is like the blind person for whom the dark night and the bright day are the same. And from Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth," meaning He spread the truth in it and disseminated it, so it illuminated with His light. Or the light of the hearts of its people by it. And from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him: the example of the light of the one who believes in Him. And it was recited: "the glass" with an open and closed vowel. And "durrī" means belonging to pearls, meaning white and shining. And "darrā" is in the form of "sukīt": it drives away darkness with its light.

And it is repelled like a spark. And it is known like tranquility, from Abu Zayd. And 'to ignite' means 'to become ignited.' And the action is for the glass. And 'to ignite' and 'to become ignited' are with lightening. And 'to ignite' is with emphasis.
