Tafsir for verses: 22:65, 22:66
65Did you not see that Allah has subjugated to you everything on the earth, and the ships that sail at sea with His command? And He holds the sky so as it cannot fall on the earth except with His permission. Surely Allah is Very-Kind to the people, Very-Merciful. 66He is the One who gave life to you, then He brings death to you, then He will give you life (again). Surely, man is very ungrateful.

Commentary
What is in the earth of animals is subdued for riding on land, and of vessels is running in the sea, and other than that of all that is made subservient. And it was recited 'and the ships' in the nominative as a beginning, meaning that they do not occur except by His will. He has given you life after you were lifeless, dust, a drop, a clinging substance, and a chewed lump. He is ungrateful for denying what He has bestowed upon him of various blessings.
