Commentary
It was recited 'Say' and 'He said', as a narration of the saying of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him. And 'My Lord, judge' is sufficient with the kasrah. And 'My Lord, judge' is with the dammah. And 'My Lord, judge' is on the form of the comparative. And 'My Lord, judge': From the meaning of the perfecting, there was a command to hasten the punishment for his people, so they were punished at Badr. And the meaning of 'with the truth' is do not favor them and be harsh on them as is their right, as he said, 'Be harsh in your tread upon Mudar.' It is agreed upon from the hadith of Abu Huraira in the story of the qunut in the Fajr prayer. It was recited 'describing' with a ta and a ya. They were describing the situation contrary to what it was, and they were hoping to have strength and dominance. So Allah refuted their assumptions and disappointed their hopes, and He granted victory to the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, and the believers, and He forsook them. About the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, it is said: 'Whoever recites 'The Hour has drawn near for mankind' will be judged by Allah with an easy reckoning, and every prophet whose name is mentioned in the Qur'an will shake hands with him and greet him.' It was narrated by Al-Thalabi and Ibn Mardawayh from the hadith of Ubayy ibn Ka'b.
