Al-Husna is the preferred quality in goodness, the feminine form of the best: either happiness, or the glad tidings of reward, or success in obedience. It is narrated that Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, recited this verse and then said: I am among them, and Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Talha, Al-Zubair, Sa'd, Sa'id, and Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf. Then the prayer was established, and he stood pulling his cloak while saying, 'They do not hear its sound.' [Reported by Ibn Abi Hatim, Ibn Adi, Ibn Mardawayh, and Al-Thalabi from the narration of Lyth ibn Abi Sulaym from the cousin of Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir. And it was from the narrators who said: He recited this verse - and mentioned it.] And Al-Hasees is the sound that is felt, and Al-Shahwah is the desire of the soul for pleasure. And it is read 'They will not be saddened' from 'Ahzun.' And Al-Faza' Al-Akbar is said to be the final blast, due to His saying, 'On the Day the Horn is blown, and those in the heavens and those in the earth will be terrified.' And from Al-Hasan: the turning towards the fire. And from Al-Duhak: when it is closed upon the fire. And it is said: when death is slaughtered in the form of a white ram, meaning the angels will greet them at the gates of Paradise. And they will say: This is the time of your reward that your Lord has promised you has arrived.
