Al-Wunā. Fatigue and shortcoming. And it was read: Tanyā, with the letter of the verb being broken for following, meaning: do not forget me and I will not cease from you in remembrance wherever you turn. And take my remembrance as a wing by which you become supported and aided by me, believing that a matter cannot proceed for anyone except by my remembrance. It is permissible that by remembrance he means conveying the message, for remembrance applies to all acts of worship, and conveying the message is among the most important and greatest of them, so it is worthy of being called remembrance. It has been narrated that Allah, the Exalted, revealed to Harun while he was in Egypt to meet Musa. It is said: he heard of his coming. It is said: he was inspired with that. It was read: Layyinan, with the lightening and soft words, similar to His saying: 'Is there for you a way to be purified and I guide you to your Lord so that you may fear?' because its apparent meaning is inquiry and consultation, and presenting what is in it of great success. It is said: he was given youth that does not age after it, and a kingdom that is not taken from him except by death, and that he would have the pleasure of food, drink, and marriage until his death. It is said: do not confront him with what he dislikes, and be gentle with him in speech, due to his right in raising Musa, and due to what is established for him of a paternal right. And it is said: he was given a nickname, and he is among those with three nicknames: Abu al-Abbas, Abu al-Walid, and Abu Murrah. And the encouragement for them, meaning: go with your hopes and desires, and engage in the matter as one who hopes and desires that his work will bear fruit and not be in vain, so he strives with all his effort, and prepares himself with all his might. And the benefit of sending them to him while knowing that he will not believe, imposing the proof and cutting off the excuse: 'And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before it, they would have said: Our Lord, if only You had sent to us a messenger so we could follow Your signs,' meaning: he remembers and reflects, and he gives a portion of himself and submits to the truth, or he fears that the matter may be as you describe, and denial may lead him to destruction.
