The mention of Isma'il, peace be upon him, is due to his truthful promise, even though this is found in other prophets as well, as an honor and a respect for him, like the titles such as: the forbearing, the compassionate, and the truthful. This is because he is well-known for these qualities. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that he promised a companion to wait for him in a place, and he waited for him for a year. Not to mention that he promised himself patience in the face of sacrifice, and he fulfilled it, as he said, 'You will find me, if Allah wills, among the patient.' He would begin with his family in commanding righteousness and worship so that they would be an example for those who come after them, and because they are more deserving than others. 'And warn your nearest relatives,' and 'Command your family to pray, and protect yourselves and your families from the Fire.' Do you not see that they are more deserving of charity? Thus, religious kindness is more appropriate. It is said that his family includes all his nation, both relatives and others, because the nations of the prophets are considered part of their families. It indicates that it is the right of the righteous to spare no effort in advising others, let alone their relatives and those connected to them, and to bestow upon them religious benefits without neglecting any of that.
