Commentary
He says with the letter 'ya' and 'noon'. And the addition of partners to Him, according to their claim, is a rebuke to them, and he meant the jinn.
And the 'mubiq' is the destroyer, from 'waq' meaning to perish, and 'waq' means to perish. And it may be a source like 'mawrid' and 'mawa'id', meaning: and We made between them a valley from the valleys of Hell, which is a place of destruction and severe punishment, where they all perish together. And according to Al-Hasan, it is a 'mubiq' of enmity. The meaning is: enmity that is in its severity destruction, like His saying: 'Let not your love be a burden, nor your hatred be a ruin.' And Al-Farra' said: the separation is the connection, meaning:
And We made their connection in this world a destruction on the Day of Resurrection. It may be that he means the angels, 'Uzair, 'Isa, and Maryam, and by 'mubiq' the distant barrier, meaning: and We made between them a long distance where the paths perish due to its great distance, because they are in the depths of Hell while they are in the highest of Paradise. So they thought and were certain that those who are in it are mixed with it and are falling into it, a place of moderation. He said.
Azhar, is there any escape from gray hair?
Azhar, is there any escape from gray hair... or is there no eternity for the generous who is extravagant?
For Abu Kabir Al-Hudhali. And the hamzah is for calling. And Zahir is a diminutive of Zahira, the name of a woman. And the question is negating, meaning: there is no escape from gray hair, nor is there any way out or escape from it. And 'am' is for transitional interruption and the negating question, meaning: rather, the eternity of the generous who gives what he has, extravagantly beyond his capacity in hosting guests, does not prevent eternity, as if she was reproaching him for his generosity with gray hair and aging, so he responded to her with that. And in it is an indication of the utmost generosity.
