Then the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, consoled himself regarding what was burdening him from the addition, by saying that this is not due to a lack of honor from you, nor from stinginess towards you, but because His will regarding the expansion of provisions and their limitation is based on wisdom and benefit. It may be that he means by saying that the expansion and contraction are indeed from the command of Allah, whose treasures are in His hand. As for the servants, they must be moderate. It is also possible that the Exalted and Mighty expands for His servants or contracts, for He considers the middle of the two situations, not allowing the one who is expanded to reach the utmost of his desire, nor the one who is contracted to reach the worst of what he dislikes. So follow His tradition.
