Commentary
This is a proclamation for the people, sufficient for reminder and admonition. This refers to what he described in his saying, 'So do not think that...' until his saying, 'Swift in account.' And 'let them be warned' is connected to something omitted, meaning let them advise and let them be warned by this proclamation. It has been read: 'and let them be warned,' with the opening of the 'ya,' from 'he warned by it' when he knew it. And let them know that He is one God, because if they feared what they were warned of, fear would lead them to reflection until they reach monotheism, for fear is the mother of all good.
From the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him: 'Whoever recites Surah Ibrahim is given a reward of ten good deeds for every idol worshipper and for every one who did not worship.'
