Commentary
And it is recited: Creator of the heavens and the earth. If He wills, He can remove you. This means He is capable of annihilating people and creating in their place another creation, either in their form or different from their form. This is to inform of His power over the annihilation of the existent and the creation of the nonexistent. He is capable of a thing and its opposite. And that is not difficult for Allah. Rather, it is easy for Him. [[He returned to his words. He said: Its meaning is that this is not difficult for Allah, meaning: it is easy for Him, because He is capable by essence... Ahmad said: And this is a clear separation for them that is concealed in its expression. And how ugly is his saying about Allah, glorified and exalted is He. The caller is sincere to Him, and the one who diverts is effective. And what has been informed about the hearing of the knowledgeable and those who are aware of the etiquette of Allah, the Exalted, and what is due in regard to His majesty has been previously mentioned, which is sufficient.]], because He is capable by essence and has no restriction to one possible over another possible. So when the call is sincere to something and the diversion is absent, it comes into being without delay, like moving your finger when a caller invites you to it and there is no diversion obstructing it. These verses clarify their distance in misguidance and their great error in disbelief in Allah, due to the clarity of His signs that testify to Him, indicating His overwhelming power and His perfect wisdom, and that He is the one worthy of being worshiped, feared for His punishment, and hoped for His reward in the Day of Judgment.
