Commentary
Al-Murawadah: It is a form of interaction, from the root rad yarud if he comes and goes. The meaning is as if I deceived him about himself, meaning: I did what a deceiver does to his companion regarding something he does not want to let go of, trying to overpower him and take it from him. It is a phrase about enduring to encounter it. And she locked the doors; it is said there were seven.
And it was read as Hayt with the 'h' opened and broken with the 't' opened, and its structure is like that of 'Ayn and 'Ayt. And Hayt is like Jir and Hayt is like Hayth. And Hatha means to prepare. It is said: Haa yahyi, like jaa yajee: if he prepares. And I have prepared for you. The 'lam' is for the connection of the verb. As for in sounds, it is for clarification.
As for the saying 'And as for in sounds, it is for clarification', in Al-Sihah: Hayt bih wa Hawt bih, meaning he called out to him and summoned him. And it is also said: 'Hayt lak', meaning come here for you. In it, 'Halm ya rajul' - with the 'm' opened - means come forth. (A)
It is as if it was said: I say this to you, as you say: Halm lak. I seek refuge with Allah, truly, if the matter and the conversation is my Lord, my Master, and my Owner. He means Qatfir has honored my abode when he said to you, 'Honor my abode'. What is his reward for me to betray him among his family with bad betrayal and to betray him among them? Truly, the wrongdoers will not succeed, those who repay good with evil. And it is said: He meant the adulterers because they wrong themselves.
And it is said: He meant Allah, the Exalted, because He is the cause of causes.
